Texas State University
Korean Culture Club (KCC)

let's have
some fun.
Here at KCC, we do a variety of things ranging from fundraising to club bonding events over the course of the year. These provide everyone with the opportunity to make friends, help our club and create memories that last a lifetime.
Listed below are a few examples!
MEMBERSHIP TRAINING
Every year, KCC hosts a membership training to help break the ice and form stronger bonds between the newer members with the preexisting group! We spend the day together playing a variety of team building games and having fun.
fundraising
KCC always holds various fundraisers to help our club have the means to go above and beyond. We do snack fundraisers and collaborate with other organizations in San Marcos, and it's a great way to give back to not only our club, but our University.
HALLOWEEN GATHERING
Our KCC officers host an annual Halloween party where we watch Korean horror movies, host costume contests and eat great food. This year (2018 - 2019), the Halloween gathering will coincide with our membership training.
WORLD MARKET
This is arguably our biggest event of the school year: We host a showcase at the Texas State LBJ Ballroom! World Market consists of performances from traditional dancers, singers, and other culture clubs on campus. There's good food and even better company!
Running Man
This is an event we model off the South Korean reality show, "Running Man". The basis of this show is creating a celebrity olympics, and that's exactly what we do. We go all across campus to play many different games, and it encourages amazing teamwork. A little healthy competition is always fun!
추석 (Chuseok)
A major harvest festival and a three-day holiday in South Korea. We celebrate by gathering during meeting time and learning about the traditions, sharing bulgogi and playing outdoor games.
